Dr. Pablo Jeczmien has served his community and patients as a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist as well as a Psychotherapist for more than thirty years. His experience in this field is clear from the first time his patients meet him, he has a strong presence but a calming one. He did not take the path that most psychiatrists or psychologists take. He trained as a heart surgeon for a number of years in a highly regarded unit. Eventually he decided this was not the career he wanted and the field was not what he wanted to pursue, so he abandoned that course of action and instead specialised in psychiatry and psychotherapy.
Switching his focus to psychiatry and psychotherapy was the best thing that could have happened to Dr. Pablo Jeczmien. He soon finished his training and began practicing as a consultant psychiatrist and psychotherapist, placing a special emphasis on psychoanalysis. Until several years ago, Dr Jeczmien’s responsibilities included management and university teaching. His full time is now dedicated, in addition to his clinical practice, to the study and investigation into what has been always his special interests in the philosophy of science—specifically psychiatry, the body/mind paradigm, and the ways in which we are able to mend the bridge between the two. His current studies of Anthroposophical Medicine and Anthroposophical Psychotherapy are indeed an attempt to find a way to translate these interests into clinical practice.
Dr. Pablo Jeczmien is a practitioner at The Riverside Practice, a centre for health and well-being. He is a member of the British Medical Association in addition to the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He is also registered with the General Medical Council.
